About the Retreat

The day is led by Buddhist monks trained in the Theravada Buddhist tradition. The pacing is relaxed so it is suitable for people of all experience levels. Instructions will be given throughout the day so you can understand what is being taught.

This is a very rare opportunity to come together with others interested in developing peace and happiness.

What to Expect

  • Guided sitting and walking meditation sessions
  • Taught Dhamma talks explaining the Buddha’s teachings
  • Silent periods for reflection
  • Comfort breaks and community sharing
  • Vegetarian lunch provided (11 AM – 12 PM). Bring alternatives if you have dietary restrictions.
You can wear anything comfortable. Some like white, but this is optional. Cushions and chairs will be available, but feel free to bring your own mat and cushion. Note: the floor is uncarpeted. Never been to a retreat before? Find out what to expect and tips for social anxiety.
