Free Meditation ClassWhen: Every Wednesday
Time: 5:00 - 6:00PM Where: 521 A/B UMSU University Centre – Spiritual Care and Multi-Faith Centre. *please email or call us if you need help locating the room. Description: This Meditation class is open to everyone and is a great way to reduce your stress and anxiety. You will learn how to get mental relaxation, peace and happiness as per Buddha's teaching. Small booklets are provided for all the meditations during the class and you can practice these later on your own. There is an opportunity to ask questions during class and get advice one on one after the class too. This event is conducted by Buddhist monks trained in Theravada Buddhist tradition in Buddha Meditation Centre Winnipeg. All of our activities are free and open to the public. People of all backgrounds are welcome. Never been here before? Find our what to expect when you visit. MMC vision Our groups focus is developing students to overcome the rising struggle against anxiety, stress, mental pressure, and depression through the practice of meditation. The practice of meditation will enable student to be happy, build confidence, face mental and physical, and past/present/future challenges. Our goal is to organize meditation sessions through the Theravada Buddhist tradition; such as Breathing meditation, Loving-Kindness meditation and many more and to encourage discussion and explain answers through the real teachings of the Buddha. |
