Friday Devotional Service & Dhamma Talk

5/12/2022

When: Every Friday, 6.30-8.00 pm
Where: 2610 St Mary’s Road, Winnipeg, MB R2N 4A2
Cost: Free
No registration needed

Join us on Fridays (after Introduction to Buddhist meditation class) for a traditional Buddhist chanting service and Dhamma talk. This is a great way to start your weekend with a spiritual practice and the knowledge of the supreme Buddha's wisdom. First, we do some chanting, then a short guided loving kindness meditation. Finally, we finish the program with a short reflection on the Buddha's teachings. There is always time afterwards to speak with the monks and ask your questions.

New to Buddhist devotional services?
You may want to read our article about the meaning and purpose of devotional practices.  Our downloads page also has the text of what we chant and some beautiful audio recordings.

What people are saying...
"I have especially enjoyed the Friday night Pujas that I have attended. I find it very helpful in inspiring my spiritual practice and rewarding to spend that time with others who are on the same path. Especially after long, busy weeks, an evening with relaxing chants and talks about the Buddha's teachings is a great way to enter the weekend with a refreshed outlook."
